Buy the Most American-Made Vehicles of 2017 in Metairie: Jeep Wrangler & Jeep Cherokee

Around New Orleans, we take pride in supporting American jobs by buying American-made products. We eat American cuisine, and we drive American cars, like the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee.

Though a Cars.com survey found that a quarter of respondents would only buy a car from a U.S. manufacturer, sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what cars are made here. Just because a brand is headquartered in the U.S. doesn't mean their vehicles aren't built overseas. That's why every year, Cars.com publishes the American-Made Index (AMI).

This year, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited tied for first place, with the Jeep Cherokee following right behind in second. All three models are assembled in Toledo, Ohio (though the Cherokee moved production to Belvidere, Illinois this year), and contain at least 70 percent domestic parts content—including engines and transmissions.

Jeep Brand SUVs are an American tradition, and each sale supports U.S. manufacturing jobs.
