Get Outside with a New Jeep Cherokee

Folks from New Orleans to Slidell, LA and beyond are talking about the Jeep Cherokee. They are calling the Jeep Cherokee, one of the best off-road compact SUVs. For a vehicle with a starting MSRP of $24,395, it is unheard of for it to have such remarkable off-road capabilities but it does.

Three innovative 4X4 systems are available on the Cherokee. Read more about our breakdown of the various systems below and let us know which one is your favorite. Jeep Active Drive I: This system features a rear axle disconnect feature that activates for improved efficiency. This with Selec-Terrain ® grants you the ability to switch from four different modes: Auto, Snow, Sport and Sand/Mud.

Jeep Active Drive II: This system includes all of the perks of the Jeep Active Drive I system but with a few more bonuses. Included is a low range and neutral mode. The 4WD LOW mode is perfect for extra low-speed traction. Neutral mode enables available flat towing behind an RV.

Jeep Active Drive Lock: This is a standard system on the Cherokee Trailhawk ® trim level. This includes all of the features of Jeep Active Drive II but also includes a mechanical rear axle lock and ROCK mode.

With these many active systems available with the Jeep Cherokee, it’s no wonder this vehicle is held in such high regards for its outdoor capabilities. If you are interested in the Cherokee then check out our inventory of new Jeep Cherokees. See one you like? Ask us about test driving it!
