Facelift Arrives for 2019 Jeep Cherokee

Jeep enthusiasts all over the country rejoiced upon the announcement of a return for one of the brand's most popular nameplates, the Cherokee. After a few years of production, Jeep opted for a moderate redesign for the Cherokee. The new 2019 Cherokee maintains many of its former features, but adds a reworked exterior, a new powertrain option, and expanded cargo space.

The most substantial changes for the 2019 Cherokee are found up front. Replacing the former turn-signals-over-headlamps look, the new fascia has a more conventional appearance with headlamps moving up and integrating with a new grille design. Of course, the 2019 Cherokee keeps its signature seven-slot front-end design.

Interior updates in the 2019 Cherokee are minor, but add some extra convenience. The fourth generation Uconnect system makes it easier than ever to access applications, while a widened rear cargo area enhances practicality.

There's big news under the hood, however, where a brand-new engine option is available. The optional 2.0-liter turbo engine produces a stout 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

A test drive in the 2019 Cherokee is available at Bergeron Automotive. Stop by our location in Metairie near New Orleans and you can experience the new model for yourself.
