Summer is officially here, which means that the time is right for long days spent by the pool, eating at barbeques, and nights at Metairie, LA area movie theaters. This latter activity is perfect for two reasons: one, you get to beat the heat in an air-conditioned theater, and two, you get to experience the latest blockbuster from Hollywood. This season, RAM is celebrating its love of action-packed films through a collaboration with Warner Brothers, creating a one-of-a-kind superhero truck. It won't be joining the Bergeron Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Mopar SRT new truck lineup, but it's still one impressive vehicle.
This special 2013 RAM 2500 Man of Steel Power Wagon is designed in keeping with the latest Superman film of the same name starring Henry Cavill, Kevin Costner, and Amy Adams. Fans of the series will be thrilled to learn that they could actually drive it home as it will soon be auctioned off for charity.
Here's what this Hollywood-inspired model looks like:
- It's dark grey with a glossy black roof, red grille accents, and 17-inch satin black wheels
- Superman logos and a one-of-a-kind bespoke vehicle wrap are also on the exterior
- In the cabin you'll find custom mesh seats, red trim, and "Man of Steel" badging
The automaker's trucks are the perfect vehicles for a big adventure, and this collaboration is a natural fit for the brand. As Reid Bigland, Ram Truck Brand president and CEO, explains, "RAM celebrates those who dare to be great and never back down from a challenge. This is the essence of Superman and also embodies our RAM truck buyers, who believe in hard work, integrity and standing up for what is right."1
