Take the Jeep Gladiator Out for a New Orleans Adventure

The Jeep Gladiator is unlike any other vehicle available in New Orleans. As a pickup, it's ready to be loaded down with cargo or have a trailer hooked up to it. Like some of our other Jeeps at Bergeron Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Mopar SRT in New Orleans, the Gladiator's roof, doors, and windshield can be removed so that you can enjoy the fresh air all around you. This truck is fun and exciting, and it could be a perfect fit for your lifestyle.

2020 was the first model year for the Jeep Gladiator. Jeep based its new truck on the Wrangler, and this model hit the ground running. For 2021, the company gives Metairie drivers the choice of a standard gas-powered engine or a diesel engine. This is the only significant change that has been made to this relatively new addition to our lineup.

Performance and Utility

Most of our Gladiator models are going to be powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This type of engine brings plenty of power with it, as it comes with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Towing capacity on the truck is 7,650 pounds when this engine is under the hood. The other option is to get a diesel. The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel is also a V6 version, and it'll give you a best-in-class torque of 442. Towing capacity is 6,500 pounds, and horsepower is 260. One benefit of driving the diesel model is that it's relatively efficient. With this engine, the Jeep can earn up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

Kenner customers benefit from the Jeep's quality 4x4 system. It can enhance traction, even when the trail is particularly challenging. This truck has been built to ford water, clear obstacles, and navigate around rocks or logs in the path. An available forward-facing TrailCam Off-Road Camera can be handy if you're going into rugged terrain. Tow hooks, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, and locking front and rear differentials are some of the features that the truck can be upgraded with. There could be tie-down loops in the truck bed, a 115-volt power outlet, and a Trail Rail System that lets you keep everything organized. Those of you who will frequently tow trailers, consider getting the 4X trailer hitch zoom built into your rearview cameras so that it'll be easier to see how things are lining up.

Interior Features

The cabin of the Gladiator is comfortable while also being quite practical. The front seats are spacious and can be heated, and there could even be a heating element built into the steering wheel. In the second row, the passengers can stretch out with over 38 inches of legroom. Under that rear bench seat, there could be a removable bin that's ideal for storing smaller pieces of gear or valuables that you'd like to keep out of sight. Many Gladiator models have leather seats and accent stitching, along with soft-touch surfaces and chrome details for those with more sophisticated tastes. As you'd expect from a newly released model, the Gladiator has many high-tech components. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Uconnect interface, and Amazon Alexa are some of the features that your new truck can have. Many of us are accustomed to doing so many things with our smartphones, and with the available SiriusXM Guardian program, you can remotely start your engine, beep the horn, and check on your vehicle health. Navigation, a removable Bluetooth speaker, and a Wi-Fi hotspot are other available enhancements that can make your journeys much more enjoyable.
