What Battery Replacement Service Does
Our factory-trained mechanics give your car's battery and charging system a full diagnostic inspection. We make sure the alternator is working as designed and sending power to the battery. We also check the battery to see if it takes a full charge. If it does not, it is near the end of its service life and you need to schedule a replacement. Your battery cables, terminals, and connections to the alternator and starter motor are cleaned and kept in like-new condition. That helps to keep your battery charged and lasting another three or four years with reliable use.
Why Your Battery Requires Service
Car batteries generally last three or four years before they stop holding a charge. As they weaken, you will notice your car getting a little stubborn when trying to start it after sitting for several hours. That is because they cannot hold a full charge and slowly lose what power they do contain. Eventually, your batter will stop taking a charge at all. When that happens, you have no power, and even a jump start will not help.
Only a battery replacement service will solve that problem. You get a new battery, battery cables cleaned or replaced, and your charging system checked for proper working conditions. That lets you know your car will keep turning over and starting up when you need it to do so - unless you left the lights on or made a similar mistake.
